Château Teyssier 2019 is a full-bodied Merlot-based red wine from the St-Emilion appellation of Bordeaux. Teyssier is owned and produced by the influential `garagiste` winemaker Jonathan Maltus, who makes what may be considered a `modern`, fruit-forward style of St-Emilion. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 represents typically good value and is packed with layers of spiced red and black fruit with notes of sweet tobacco, dried herbs and dark chocolate.
90 Jane Anson
From sandy soils on the plain near Monbousquet, the 2019 Teyssier exhibits aromas of raspberries, plums and cherries, framed by creamy oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich but lively, with polished tannins and a ripe core of fruit, it's a fruit-driven, demonstrative Saint-Émilion that will drink well young.William Kelley7th April 2022

The 2019 Teyssier features a mixture of well-defined red and blueberry fruit aromas and a touch of truffle. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red fruit, light tannins and an easygoing finish. Enjoy this over the next four to five years.Neal Martin1st February 2022
