Taylor’s Vintage Port is only made in the very finest years and is blended from the best parcels of fruit from the firm’s own estates Quinta de Vargellas and Quinta de Terra Feita. The 1992 was the first declaration for Taylor’s since 1987 and is perhaps one of their greatest ever releases. Robert Parker Jr awarded it a perfect 100-point score, describing it is “the essence of what vintage port can achieve” with “awesome fruit, marvellous intensity, and lavish opulence, all brilliantly well-delineated by the wine’s formidable structure”.

Fine Port Since 1692

Established over three centuries ago in 1692, Taylor’s is one of the oldest Port houses. Noted for their for their restrained power and longevity, Taylor’s Vintage Ports are blended from the finest wines of the firm’s own quintas or estates, Vargellas, Terra Feita and Junco, with each property occupying a distinct geographic location and contributing their own unique character to the blend. Taylor’s is also respected as a producer of wood-aged ports and holds one of the largest reserves of rare cask aged wines from which its distinguished aged tawny Ports are drawn. Added to that, the house is also known as the originator of Late Bottled Vintage style of Port.

Headquartered in Oporto with vineyards across the Douro Valley the company is closely involved in all stages of the production of its Ports, from the planting of the vineyard and the cultivation of the grapes to the making, ageing, blending and bottling of the wines.
