Tarlant is a boutique, family-owned producer, offering an extensive selection of champagnes. Their vineyards span across 14 hectares, encompassing four distinct crus. Oeuilly, Boursault, St-Agnan, and Celles-les-Condés, all located in the picturesque Marne Valley. With a total of 57 parcels, Tarlant practices sustainable viticulture to ensure the preservation of the land. The vineyards boast an average vine age of 35 years, contributing to the quality and character of their wines. Crafted from Chardonnay vines that are grown on sandy soils without grafting, the 2002 La Vigne d`Antan Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs presents an enticing aromatic profile of ripe melon, lemon, and a rich Chardonnay bouquet. With remarkable purity and clarity, these qualities shine even more prominently on the palate, offering a truly captivating experience.

The 2002 Brut Nature Vigne d'Antan is powerful and exotic, with notable aromatic and flavor intensity to match its deep, resonant personality. Mint, spice, hard candy and white flowers shape the finish in the Vigne d'Antan. This is a rare, 100% Chardonnay planted on beach sand. Even so, the Vigne d'Antan offers notable richness and resonance. In my view, though, the first release with 2 grams of sugar, was the best. Disgorged: November 2015 with no dosage.
