Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Tamdhu Year of the Horse is a limited-edition release created to celebrate the qualities of strength, determination and ambition that shaped the distillery’s early years. Inspired by the horse as a symbol of perseverance, this batch-strength whisky highlights Tamdhu’s long-standing commitment to sherry-cask maturation. Its naturally deep colour and rich character come entirely from time spent in quality Oloroso sherry casks.

The whisky opens with aromas of warming spice, mature oak, dried fruits and honey. On the palate, it is rich and sherried, with flavours of ginger biscuits and caramelised pear. The finish is long and full-bodied, marked by sweet spice and a touch of orange zest. Accompanied by a specially commissioned illustration from artist Page Tsou, this release offers a straightforward yet thoughtful tribute to the Year of the Horse.

A Bold Speyside Dram

Tamdhu distillery was founded on the banks of the river Spey in Knockando in 1897. Most of the malts produced at the distillery are dedicated to blends – indeed the first time many whisky drinkers will have tasted Tamdhu malts is in such celebrated blends as Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark. However in recent years Tamdhu has earned a very solid reputation for the quality of its own bottled single malts.

In 2013 current brand owner Ian Macleod Distillers released its flagship Tamdhu 10-year-old. This was soon followed by the multi-award-winning Tamdhu ‘Batch Strength’ series and, in 2017, a highly collectible Tamdhu 50-year-old. In addition, for its recent 125th anniversary, Tamdhu released an impressive 18-year-old single malt. A selection of older age-statement bottlings can also be found from independent bottlers such as Gordon & Macphail.

The fruity, spicy Tamdhu house style is largely attributable to its malts being matured exclusively in ex-oloroso casks. This maturation regime also imparts Tamdhu’s characteristic deep copper hue.
