Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Talisker 41 Year Old Prima & Ultima Second Release is an age-statement single malt whisky produced at the Talisker Distillery and bottled as part of Diageo`s Prima & Ultima series. Distilled at the Talisker Distillery on the isle of Skye in 1979, this rare, collectible single malt was drawn from the last four 1979 refill American Oak hogsheads stored in Talisker`s warehouse No.4 – the warehouse closest to the Atlantic Ocean. "The nose is characterful, with lightly oily and smoky top notes that lead into scents of the sea-shore; sweet edible seaweed, sea-breezes and warm sand. A deliciously mellow, lightly oily texture introduces a sweet and rich start, the smokiness rolling in with, yes, a little salt mid-palate. It is peppery too, as you would expect, with chilli in the warming finish and more linseed oil in the aftertaste." Maureen Robinson, Master Blender

Talisker is the oldest working distillery on the isle of Skye and one of Scotland's most famous coastal / island malts. Founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, the distillery was acquired by the Dailuaine-Talisker Distillers Co. in 1898, who expanded the distillery before selling up to Scottish whisky giant DCL in 1916. The distillery was destroyed by fire in 1960, but was thankfully meticulously rebuilt based on the original plans with replica stills being manufactured to ensure the unique character of the spirit was preserved. The distillery used to have on-site maltings, but these were decommissioned in the early 1970s.

Ageing is American oak casks is preferred, although limited edition barrel finishes are available, and the barley is peated to medium level - around 20 parts per million. Talisker is a distinctive malt - smoky, bold and flavourful. Talisker 10 Year Old is considered by many to be one of the classic modern single malts, while Port Ruighe is aged in ex-Port casks, adding notes of ripe red fruit. Independent bottlings are quite rare when it comes to Talisker, but a great opportunity to taste single cask expressions.
