The 1985 Château Suduiraut is made predominantly from Sémillon grapes, with some Sauvignon Blanc added to the blend. The wine showcases rich and complex flavours of honey, apricot, orange marmalade, and dried fruits, with well-integrated acidity that balances the sweetness. The wine has aged gracefully, and its tertiary aromas of caramel, nuts, and spice have developed over time, adding further layers of complexity. While the wine can be enjoyed now, it still has the potential to age and evolve for several more years. It is best served chilled and can be paired with various desserts or blue cheeses.

Vinous
The 1985 Suduiraut comes from an appalling Sauternes vintage and it shows. This is just pole-axed by grey rot, light and rather bitter with a dull finish. One of the poorest releases of the decade. Avoid. Tasted at a private dinner in London.Neal Martin1st March 2019
