Domaine Stéphane Ogier is a highly regarded winery based in the Northern Rhône, specifically in Ampuis. It was established by Stéphane Ogier, who took over the family estate in 1997. Stéphane represents the 12th generation of winemakers in his family, and under his leadership, the Domaine has gained recognition for producing exceptional wines. This 100% Syrah exudes notes of dark berries, violets, liquorice, and spices, complemented by hints of olive and woodsmoke.

Dark ruby. Highly perfumed, mineral- and spice-tinged red and dark berry liqueur, floral, cracked pepper and olive scents on the nose. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry and blueberry flavors, along with suggestions of candied flowers and star licorice. Shows very good energy and spicy lift on a long, penetrating finish that features repeating floral and spice notes and polished tannins.Josh Raynolds22nd December 2022

Ogier's 2019 Saint Joseph le Passage marries cherries and raspberries with modest herbal notes in a fruity, direct effort. Medium to full-bodied and reasonably silky in feel, it won't make you forget this estate's terrific wines from Cote Rotie, but it's not priced like those wines either.Joe Czerwinski20th January 2022
