Crafted in the heart of Campbeltown, Springbank 1963 is a 50 Year Old single malt that embodies the distillery`s rich heritage and traditional practices. Distilled using methodical, floor-malted Barley on-site, this vintage reflects a commitment to craftsmanship through its distinctive two-and-a-half-times distillation. Released as part of limited bottlings, it carries a complex profile marked by oily texture and notes of tropical fruits, complemented by hints of sea salt and subtle, sooty smoke. Its maturation in high-quality Sherry and Bourbon casks over five decades has produced a spirit that balances structural power with delicate nuances, making it a sought-after relic for connoisseurs.

Springbank

The Jewel of Campbeltown

Founded in 1828 by the Reid family, Springbank was acquired by the Mitchell family less than a decade later and has been operated by them ever since. Situated in Campbeltown, on the west coast of Scotland, Springbank actually produce whisky in three distinct styles under three different labels - Springbank, Longrow and Hazelburn. Springbank is produced using the distillery's distinctive '2.5 times' distillation technique, Longrow is a double-distilled whisky made with heavily peated malt and Hazelburn is a smooth, triple distilled single malt.

Official bottlings are, thankfully, still very common and independent bottlings also quite easy to track down. Springbank has long experimented with cask finishes and experimental limited editions. In recent years, a three bottle series of "local barley" editions focussed on whisky produced using only malt from farms close to the distillery.
