Château Sérilhan is a family-owned property located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. The Château is classified as a Cru Bourgeois, which is a classification for quality wines in the Médoc region. The 2010 vintage was generally regarded as an exceptional year in Bordeaux, known for producing wines of great quality and aging potential. The weather conditions were quite favourable, resulting in wines with excellent ripeness and concentration.

The 2010 Sérilhan, now at 10 years old, has an attractive blackberry and tertiary scented nose, scents of freshly rolled tobacco mixed with just a faint touch of eau-de-vie. Fine delineation, a little heady in style. The palate is well balanced with quite grippy tannins in keeping with the vintage. It has lost a bit of its youthful freshness, though remains detailed and displays bright bilberry and light briny notes on the finish. Drink now and over the next decade. Neal Martin1st January 2021

An under-the-radar St.-Estephe estate making good rather than inspiring wines, this property has undergone comprehensive renovations and restoration. The 2010 is a solid effort made from a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc. The wine possesses sweet black currant fruit, some cherries, earth, herbs and underbrush. Drink it over the next decade.Robert Parker28th February 2013
