The Seignette family can be traced back to 17th century France, known as prominent traders in salt and cognac in the La Rochelle region. This VS is a contemporary cognac, with notes of dried apricot, vanilla and hints of honeysuckle on the nose, followed by oaky vanilla notes, a touch of citrus and a long, creamy finish on the palate.

Orange-copper in color, curiously dark for such a young Cognac. A very candied nose, with loads of vanilla extract, butterscotch and nougat. In the mouth, the sweetness turns rough, and you get notes of custard, instant pudding, cola and bit of licorice. But it’s the finish — oh, the finish —that’s truly unfortunate.
