Segla 2017 is a Bordeaux blend from the Margaux appellation. This bottling represents the second wine of Château Rauzan-Ségla, crafted to offer a refined and expressive look at the estate`s gravelly terroir. The 2017 vintage produced a balanced, classical wine of great charm and depth. It shows a harmonious balance between the fruit core and the resolved tannins, offering a sophisticated finish of cedar, tobacco, graphite and blackcurrant that illustrates the consistent quality and grace of this historic property.

A Margaux Super Second
Setting the bar for quality winemaking in Margaux, the vineyards of Château Rauzan-Ségla are planted to 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 1% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot and are used to produce both the prestigious first wine and the second wine, known as Ségla.
These are wonderfully elegant, vibrant reds that see 60-70% new oak. Considered by many to be one of the greatest properties in Margaux, Rauzan-Ségla is now firmly established as one of Bordeaux`s ‘Super Seconds’.
