Saumur Champigny `Sables Verts` 2023 is a red wine crafted from Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the esteemed Saumur region of the Loire Valley. This vintage showcases the varietal`s classic profile with its earthy undertones and notable acidity. The wine offers a structured palate with hints of red fruit and herbal notes. The estate, established in the 20th century, is renowned for its commitment to organic viticulture, allowing for an authentic expression of its terroir.

- Deep ruby with a blackish core. Black raspberry, dark chocolate and toasted oak on the alluring nose. Rich and slightly chunky, with ripe, smoky flavors of kirsch and boysenberry complicated by the sumptuous thrust of new wood on the palate. Finishes long, on redcurrant, woodsmoke and a note of cinnamon. With substantial but discreetly sweet tannins that will require time in bottle to soften, this cabernet franc is a long-distance runner at the starting gate.
