Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Sassicaia 2013 is a red wine from the Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC in Tuscany. I had reviewed this wine just a few months prior and my impression has remained pretty much the same. One difference I did notice at this more recent tasting of the 2013 Bolgheri Sassicaia is the bouquet. It has shifted to slightly more delicate and finessed aromas of pressed flower and blue violets. You do of course get that solid core of dark fruit and spice that characterizes this famous Tuscan blend. But that extra time in the bottle has awarded wiggle room for profound precision and focused detailing. The wine's complexity emerges slowly with subtle notes of savory spice and tobacco. There is power and depth here, especially in terms of the mouthfeel. As the wine evolves in the glass, it begins to show ethereal tones of road paving, tar and licorice. This Sassicaia should go straight into the cellar.Monica Larner28th April 2017

The 2013 Sassicaia is every bit as majestic as I hoped it would be. The 2013 was so impressive from barrel, but in bottle it struck me as a bit dull. This magnum brings back vivid memories of my first tastings. Powerful and vibrant, with present tannins, the 2013 still needs time to be at its best, especially in the big bottle. Brisk acids and soaring aromatics suggest a very bright future ahead. Cold weather during spring set in motion what would turn out to be a late-ripening year. Frost episodes lowered yields but were too early in the season to adversely impact quality. Summer was characterized by mostly moderate temperatures with healthy rains. Cooling evening temperatures during the final phase of ripening were beneficial to the development of color and aromatics. The 2013 remains a somewhat lighter Sassicaia. Antonio Galloni13th May 2026

Tenuta San Guido’s flagship red wine, Sassicaia wine, has become a Tuscan icon in its own right. This fine wine, made from a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, is characterized by all the hallmarks that have established it as one of Italy’s standout wines: sumptuous fruit, fine texture, beautiful perfume, and effortless balance. A prototype of Super Tuscan wines, Mario Incisa della Rocchetta decided to experiment with Bordeaux varietals, noting a similarity between the geography of Tuscany and Graves in southwest France.

Early vintages of this iconic Italian wine were only available to taste at the winery. The 1968 vintage was the first Sassicaia wine to be sold to the public, and in 1994, Sassicaia was granted its own official DOC: Bolgheri-Sassicaia DOC. Early vintages received mixed reviews, but the introduction of Tronçais oak barriques in the late 1970s saw a rise in quality that has been maintained ever since. Alongside the Grand Vin, the Tenuta San Guido estate produces a second wine, Guidalberto, and a third wine, La Difese.
