Salon is probably the world’s most sought-after champagne and the ultimate expression of a blanc de blancs. The wines are only produced in the best years, on average only three each decade. They need plenty of time to open and develop. The Maison suggests a drinking window of 20-30 years; therefore this 1995 vintage has now reached an optimum level of maturity.

The 1995 Salon, disgorged à la volée and naturally sans dosage, is rich, ample and creamy. In this vertical, the 1995 stands out for its broad, ample frame and tropically-leaning overtones. So often, Salon is a Champagne of tension and focus. Rare and Beautiful
One of the world's most famous prestige cuvée, the first vintage of Champagne Salon was 1905, although it wouldn't be until the 1920s that these wines were finally released to the public. An unparalleled Blanc de Blancs, Salon comes from a single hectare plot and nineteen other smaller plots in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and the wine is only prouced in the very finest vintages. As a result, the 20th century saw only 37 bottlings of this fabled Champagne.
Every bottle of Salon is held at the estate cellars for 10 years before release. The result is a highly complex, layered Blanc de Blancs Champagne which has the capacity to age for decades.
