The Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chien Ramonet 2016 showcases the craftsmanship of Jean-Claude Ramonet, a revered figure in Burgundy. This Premier Cru site is known for its stony, chalky soils at altitude, which influence the wine`s character. The 2016 vintage produced relatively low yields due to frost, resulting in a concentrated expression. Expect aromas of white and citrus fruits, with subtle hints of flintiness. The palate reveals a precise structure, defined by minerality and lively acidity, culminating in a lengthy finish that highlights the vineyard`s unique terroir.

Vinous
(2014 was the first vintage for this bottling by Ramonet): Rather reduced nose hints at iodiney minerality. Densely packed and intensely flavored, with its pungent lemony citricity complicated by a distinctly petrolly, gunflinty note. Finishes impressively brisk, long and serious. Ramonet's vines in Saint-Aubin were not frosted in 2016, according to Jean-Claude. This very concentrated wine is more about soil than primary fruit.
