Ruchottes Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes Armand Rousseau 2015 is a red Burgundy Grand Cru wine from the monopole Clos des Ruchottes in the Côte de Nuits. The 2015 vintage in Burgundy was exceptional, yielding powerful, deeply concentrated wines. This Grand Cru showcases immense depth and structure, featuring dark fruit, iron and a profound mineral core, built on a formidable yet elegant tannic frame. Its rare combination of concentration and finesse demands long-term cellaring.

Good medium red. Deep aromas and flavors of raspberry, mocha and minerals lifted by spicy high notes; very ripe but not at all cooked. Sweet, penetrating and fine-grained, with firm acidity contributing to its impression of structure. This solidly tannic wine is quite closed today (Cyrielle Rousseau described it as a baby bully) and will need patience.Stephen Tanzer1st January 2018
