Ruchottes Chambertin Christophe Roumier 1995 is a notable Burgundy Pinot Noir from a renowned Grand Cru vineyard. The vintage is recognised for producing wines with depth and substance. Christophe Roumier, a winemaker based in Chambolle-Musigny, is known for his careful approach to viticulture and winemaking, enhancing the expression of terroir. This wine presents aromas of dark red fruits, such as black cherry and raspberry, alongside earthy undertones and hints of spice. Structured with marked acidity, it offers a complex palate that suggests significant ageing potential while exhibiting a firm tannic backbone.
93 Vinous
- Very good medium red. Tight but vibrant aromas of redcurrant, flowers, iron, minerals, pepper and vanilla; less animal than the Charmes-Chambertin. Vivid, tangy fruit offers great freshness and racy intensity. Quintessential Burgundy in the way it delivers flavor impact without excess weight. A wine of great finesse, with a firm tannic structure for extended aging.
