Roebuck Estates Blanc de Noirs 2015 is a vintage traditional-method sparkling wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes in Sussex. Produced from wholly estate-grown fruit, the wine was partially fermented in the French oak casks before bottling and spent 36 months ageing on lees before disgorgement. Producer note. "Attractive golden copper hue. Delightful bouquet of ripe stone and citrus fruits lifted by floral notes. Baked apples on the palate are layered with complex notes of brioche and toasted almonds, characteristic of a generous bottle-ageing. A rich, yet beautifully balanced wine with delicate bubbles, a silky texture and a long-lingering finish."

100% Pinot Noir.
Pale bronze colour. Pretty Pinot perfume on the nose. Mouth-filling mature fruit on the nose. Bone-dry finish. Pretty aggressive mousse but there is no doubt of the varietal make-up. Slightly loose texture but certainly distinctive. Not cheap. (JR)
