Roc de Cambes 1995 is a mature release from François Mitjavile`s estate in Côtes de Bourg, an area renowned for its distinct Merlot-dominant offerings. The 1995 vintage benefited from a warm growing season, producing Bordeaux wines with a well-defined structure. This bottle displays aromas of dark cherry, plum and hints of earthy spices. Expect a palate that is robust and tightly woven, characterised by ripe tannins and balanced acidity. Mitjavile often utilises 100% new oak, contributing structure and subtle layers of complexity.

Vinous
- 1995 Roc de Cambes (a blend of 60% merlot, 25% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc and 5% malbec) : Ruby-blue color! Even riper aromas of animal fur, fresh blood, dark berries and white pepper; quite syrah- like. Sweet and succulent in the mouth, with dense, intensely flavored black fruit. Very long finish, with tougher tannins than the Tertre- Rôteboeuf. This is more dominated by its structure today than the above, which is more pliant on the back end. May be the best Roc de Cambes to date.
