Rauzan-Ségla 2002 is a red Bordeaux blend from the Margaux appellation. This Second Growth estate is situated on deep gravel terraces that encourage the Cabernet Sauvignon to develop refined, floral aromatics and a firm structural core. The 2002 vintage produced a classical, structured wine that has evolved into a complex and savoury expression. It shows a harmonious balance between the fruit core and the results of bottle age, offering a sophisticated finish of cedar, tobacco, graphite and blackcurrant. The integration of components is complete, resulting in an elegant and long-lived Bordeaux.

A Margaux Super Second
Setting the bar for quality winemaking in Margaux, the vineyards of Château Rauzan-Ségla are planted to 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 1% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot and are used to produce both the prestigious first wine and the second wine, known as Ségla.
These are wonderfully elegant, vibrant reds that see 60-70% new oak. Considered by many to be one of the greatest properties in Margaux, Rauzan-Ségla is now firmly established as one of Bordeaux`s ‘Super Seconds’.
