Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Château Rauzan-Ségla is a Second Growth wine producer located in the Margaux appellation. The estate is now owned by a subsidiary of the Chanel Group and has benefitted from substantial investment in the last few years. The 1983 vintage suggests aromas of cassis, black raspberries, hints of tobacco ash, fresh herbal accents, earthy undertones, and a subtle touch of smoky wood. On the palate, the wine exhibits depth and complexity, embodying a predominantly dark fruit character. It possesses a substantial core, boasts restrained tannins, and finishes with an impressive length and a firm grip.

Fully mature, this has always been one of the best wines of the vintage. The stunning aromatics soar out of the glass, offering up notes of acacia flower intermixed with black currants, smoke, tobacco, and incense. A luscious texture in a beautifully concentrated but very pure, medium to full-bodied style displays layers of flavor as well as a seamlessness that is endearing if not compelling. The wine is a beauty and is the first vintage to signal the return of Rauzan-Segla to the ranks of quality Bordeaux chateau. Anticipated maturity: Now-2009. - The 1983 Rauzan-Ségla has a dark core with some bricking on the rim. The bouquet is a little rustic, with soy, blackcurrant pastilles and melted tar, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly drying tannins, red fruit mixed with soy, maybe just becoming a little acetic in its dotage, but there is a charm in a bucolic style. Tasted at the château.

Setting the bar for quality winemaking in Margaux, the vineyards of Château Rauzan-Ségla are planted to 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 1% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot and are used to produce both the prestigious first wine and the second wine, known as Ségla.

These are wonderfully elegant, vibrant reds that see 60-70% new oak. Considered by many to be one of the greatest properties in Margaux, Rauzan-Ségla is now firmly established as one of Bordeaux`s ‘Super Seconds’.
