Rathfinny Blanc de Blancs 2019 is a vintage, traditional-method sparkling wine produced at the Rathfinny Wine Estate in Sussex, UK. The Rathfinny estate was established in 2010 by Mark and Sarah Driver, and is located on a prime south-facing slope in Sussex’s South Downs, where the mesoclimate, chalk soil and aspect yield grapes for world-class sparkling wine. The 2019 blanc de blancs is produced from hand-harvested Chardonnay from Rathfinny`s coastal vineyard location, just seven miles from the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs. Producer note. "Luminescent gold in colour, with a delicate nose of ripe, almost tropical fruit, yielding a complex palate of apricot and creamy citrus fruits with a delicious long, elegant yuzu finish."

Full bottle 1674 g. Certified sustainable (BCorp). 100% estate-grown grapes. 36 months sur lattes. Disgorged 17 April 2023.
A lacy, chalk-dust and white-florals perfume. Dry and fine – exquisitely tiny bubbles and fine-boned structure. Marine-like salinity dominates the palate, although there is a trace of grapefruit to the flinty backbone, and a faint top note of something fragrant, even lavender-like. Very, very elegant with a long, understated finish. (TC)
