Domaine Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 2017 is a white Burgundy from the village appellation of Puligny-Montrachet, produced by the highly revered Côte de Beaune estate. This deeply classic, village-level Chardonnay is a pure, mineral-driven expression of the well-balanced 2017 vintage, which combined ripeness and elegance. The wine presents a focused core of citrus oil, white currant and chalk, supported by a seamless, creamy texture and a persistent, saline finish.
Vinous
(the yield here was lower than in 2016, according to Jean-Claude Ramonet): Sexy scents of peach and smoky oak. Broader and suppler than the village Chassagne, conveying an impression of lower acidity and greater sucrosité. A note of minerality firms the wine's finish.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2018
