Based in Puligny-Montrachet, Paul Pernot is a family-owned estate known for producing classic Burgundy wines with pristine fruit. Paul Pernot established the Domaine in 1959 with approximately 10 hectares, most of which had been in the family for many generations. This release comes from ‘Les Pucelles’, one of Puligny-Montrachet`s top Premier Cru vineyards. 2002 is deservedly a popular vintage among Burgundy aficionados, and the remaining available wines are in a great spot right now.

Vinous
Very ripe, fruit-driven aromas of candied peach, tangerine and pear; just this side of exotic. Then very ripe and deep; a step up in strength of fruit, weight and length from the Folatieres. Finishes stony and serious. This really calls for four or five years of additional aging.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2004
