Based in Meursault, Vincent Girardin is a prestigious Burgundy Domaine covering approximately 22 hectares of estate vineyards. In 2012 the business was acquired by Jean-Pierre Nié, the owner of Compagnie des Vins d’Autrefois in Beaune. This cuvée comes from the Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru ‘Les Perrières’, a 4.5-hectare vineyard situated at the lower end of the Côte d`Or slope. 2002 was a particularly good vintage for white Burgundy, producing soft and rounded wines with fresh mineral tones.

Vinous
Aromatically pure nose combines peach, flowers, spices and menthol. Very suave on entry, then harmonious in the middle; sweet, fresh and light on its feet. A stylish, impeccably balanced wine that should drink well early. With its crisp acidity, this is a bit in the style of the 2000, notes Girardin.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2003
