The Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères Thierry Pillot 2022 presents a delicate balance of minerality and ripe fruit. On the nose, it reveals aromas of green apple, pear, and a hint of citrus, underscored by subtle oak influence. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity, showcasing the region`s hallmark finesse, alongside flavors of white stone fruit and a touch of almond.

From the renowned village of Puligny-Montrachet, this wine reflects the terroir`s rich limestone soils. Thierry Pillot is known for his meticulous farming practices and minimalist winemaking approach, allowing the terroir to express itself. The vintage promises a wine that is accessible in its youth but also capable of aging gracefully, evolving its complexity over time.

Thierry Pillot

Though successful as winemaker at the family property, Domaine Paul Pillot, Thierry Pillot established his tiny négociant operation several years ago and rapidly garnered widespread acclaim for his small but impressive portfolios of wines. His wines are supremely terroir-driven and characterful, produced from organically farmed (uncertified) vines and with minimal new oak usage.

Making wonderful wines under his own label from some of the finest parcels of Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and St. Aubin, Thierry Pillot is a thoughtful winemaker who favours tension and crystalline purity, often eschewing more interventionist techniques and new oak to give the wines greater transparency.
