Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Based in Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Leflaive is a highly regarded producer focused almost entirely on white wines. Under the leadership of the late Anne-Claude Leflaive, the estate converted to biodynamic farming practices in the 1990s, one of the very first to do so in Burgundy. This particular release comes from the Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru ‘Les Combettes’, where the Domaine owns a 0.73-hectare plot with vines planted in 1963 and 1972. 2010 is widely regarded as an excellent year for white Burgundy, which often display a balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality.

The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has just a touch of reduction on the nose, but far less than Fichet’s Les Referts tasted alongside, thus allowing the mineralité to show through, along with hints of custard creams and fresh figs in the background. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, offering citrus fruit mixed with black currant leaf and crushed stone, and delivering real tension and penetration toward the finish. Founded in the 18th century, Domaine Leflaive has built a storied reputation for its commitment to biodynamic farming and exceptional craftsmanship. The estate owns 22 hectares of vineyards, including 10 hectares of Premiers Crus in Puligny-Montrachet (Les Combettes, Les Pucelles, Le Clavoillon, Les Folatières), as well as no fewer than 5 hectares of Grands Crus (Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and a tiny holding in Le Montrachet).

Joseph Leflaive, whose vision and dedication in the early 20th century were pivotal, transformed the domaine into a symbol of excellence. In the 1990s, Anne-Claude Leflaive introduced biodynamic practices, adhering to rigorous standards that respect the natural rhythms of the earth, promoting soil health and vine vitality without synthetic chemicals. This holistic approach results in Chardonnay wines celebrated for their purity, depth, and complexity.
