Vinous
Bright pale-medium yellow. A note of exotic lemon peel and a floral element on the nose. Plush, salty and quite dry, showing an herbal pungency to its flavors of citrus fruits and anise. Finishes with firm, dusty minerality, which Bouzereau attributes to the redder soil over calcaire. The crop level here was about 35 hectoliters per hectare, which Bouzereau described as lower than the Meursaults but not bad for the vintage. These vines were planted in 1980 and Bouzereau told me he has seen greater depth in this wine since 2007 or 2008.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2017
