Domaine Antoine Jobard is a family estate dedicated almost entirely to Chardonnay from the Meursault region. It was established in 1860 as Domaine Francois Jobard and is currently run by fifth-generation Antoine Jobard. This particular cuvée hails from ‘Le Trézin’, a Puligny-Montrachet village lieu-dit. 2010 is a classic year for white Burgundy and most wines have a long life ahead of them.

Subdued aromas of peach oil and clove. Juicy, dry and tight; more saline and less fruity than the preceding Meursault samples. But this youthfully tight wine shows excellent intensity and cut. This will require aging to gain in flesh. Jobard notes that this fruit, which is picked toward the end of the harvest along with the Tillets and Blagny, never produces wines high in alcohol.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2012
