Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 2022 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Puligny-Montrachet appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Etienne Sauzet is a biodynamic wine producer located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. Founded in the first half of the 20th century by Etienne Sauzet, the estate is today managed by Emilie Boudot and Benoit Riffaul. This release is their 2022 village wine from Puligny-Montrachet, which is produced from 12 parcels spread around the village, primarily on the Meursault side. The average age of the vines is 50 years old and the wine is aged in 20% new oak.
Vinous
The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Village, from the usual 12 parcels, has a fragrant bouquet of Golden Delicious and light earthy scents, well-defined with good vigor. The palate is well-balanced with a sapid entry and a touch of bitter lemon, quite taut towards the finish with decent length. Typically Puligny in style, this should give a decade of drinking pleasure.
