Puligny-Montrachet Etienne Sauzet 2017 is a white Burgundy village-level wine from the Puligny-Montrachet appellation, made from Chardonnay. This bottling showcases Sauzet’s signature elegance, with a beautiful textural richness, notes of white peach, honeysuckle and a persistent, fine-grained minerality that defines the appellation. The wine is vinified with meticulous care using a high percentage of demi-muids (600L barrels) to gently temper the oak influence, fostering complexity and longevity.
Vinous
(already assembled): Good aromatic lift to the aromas of fresh apricot and butter. A step up in density and balance from the village Chassagne-Montrachet but weightless and stylish. Stone fruit flavors are lifted by a subtle floral topnote. Finishes shapely, dry and persistent, with very good cut. Should make a classic, harmonious village wine.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2018
