Based in Puligny-Montrachet, Paul Pernot is a family-owned estate known for producing classic Burgundy wines with pristine fruit. Paul Pernot established the Domaine in 1959 with approximately 10 hectares, most of which had been in the family for many generations. This cuvée comes from Puligny-Montrachet’s Premier Cru Les Folatières, where Pernot owns a total of 3.08 hectares. They have two parcels within Peux Boix, and the entire walled parcel Clos des Folatières. 2001 was a particularly good vintage for white Burgundy, producing wines that are fresh and elegant.

Vinous
(from 45 year old vines, much of which is sold to Drouhin). Almost identical to the Puligny in terms of style and flavor profile but with more of everything, including size, weight and depth plus a lovely touch of finishing minerality. Understated, pretty and refined.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2003
