Clos de la Mouchère, a monopole spanning 3.65 hectares, is a prized vineyard exclusively owned by Domaine Henri Boillot. Originally intended as the house white wine for a renowned Parisian restaurant, it has since garnered a reputation of its own. The meticulous winemaking process involves aging around 70% of the wine in new 350-litre oak barrels, with the remainder in barrels from a single vintage. Aromas of white acacia and citrus blossom intertwine with subtle hints of reduction on the nose. The palate reveals a rich and full-bodied character, supported by impeccable mineral energy and culminating in a lingering, slightly saline finish.

(domain wine) Lemon, lime, spring flowers, nut oil and minerals on the vibrant nose. Dense and sweet, with penetrating flavors of peach, spice and minerals lifted by a captivating floral character. Broad, classy and extremely long on the back end. Already showing terrific personality, but this will be even better for five to seven years of cellaring.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2004
