Puligny-Montrachet is located to the south of Meursault and to the north of Chassagne-Montrachet, at the heart of the greatest white vineyards of Burgundy. The Clos de la Garenne is an historic vineyard belonging to the Duc of Magenta properties and its wines are vinified by Louis Jadot. 2010 is considered one of the standout vintages of the decade, known for producing wines of exceptional quality and age-worthiness.
92 Vinous
(from 80-year-old vines): Very closed nose hints at toast and resiny oak. Fatter, sweeter and oilier than the Pucelles but less floral and perfumed. Impressively chewy and dense but distinctly clenched today and not current showing its personality. Lardiere is high on this bottling but it's downright sullen today.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2012
