Domaine Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet Champ Gain 2013 is a Premier Cru from a high-altitude site known for its thin soils and cooling breezes. The 2013 vintage’s naturally high acidity perfectly suits this site, resulting in a wine with exceptional tension and aromatic lift. At 12 years of age, the primary citrus and floral notes have evolved into a sophisticated bouquet of dried fruits, ginger and flint. The palate is lean and energetic, showing a direct line of mineral energy that remains vibrant on the long, salty finish.

Vinous
Pale straw-yellow. Unforthcoming aromas of lemon and stone fruits accented by mint and herbs. Juicy, citrussy and smooth, offering modest fat but a light touch. Young and precise but a little lean. Boudot says this very solid, saline wine needs a bit of oxidation to gain in weight. Classically dry on the finish.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2015
