Domaine Bachelet-Monnot was established in 2005 by Marc and Alexandre Bachelet, two brothers who currently farm approximately 20 hectares of prime vineyards on the Côte d`Or. This is their village-level Puligny-Montrachet from the hottest vintage in Burgundy since 2003. The wine is rich, with a lively attack, showing notes of citrus, flint and butter.

The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Village is a blend of three parcels. It has retained a bouquet that punches above its weight with impressive _ mineralité_ and tension. The palate is very nicely focused with crisp acidity and a penetrating salinity on the finish. Superb!Neal Martin1st December 2020

The focus is on traditional techniques, terroir-led winemaking - 50% new oak is used for Grand Cru wines, but employed to a lesser extent for Premier Cru and Village-level wines.

Key vineyards for Bachelet Monnot in Maranges are La Fussière, which they produce in both red and white, and Clos de la Boutière. In Puligny-Montrachet, Marc and Alexandre produce Premier Crus Les Referts and Folatières along with Grand Crus Bienvenues-Bâtard Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet.
