Prieuré-Lichine 1990 is a mature-vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Château Prieuré-Lichine is a Fourth Growth producer situated within the Margaux appellation. It has a long history, dating back to the 12th century when it was a monastery. The modern-day Château Prieuré-Lichine was established in the 1950s when renowned wine writer Alexis Lichine acquired the property and significantly improved its wine quality and reputation. On the mature 1990 vintage. "By far the best fully mature Prieuré-Lichine over the last 20 years, the dark garnet-coloured 1990 has a very fragrant nose of spice box, Christmas fruitcake, cedar, tobacco, smoke, and jammy red as well as black currants flavours. The wine is medium-bodied, quite ripe, with low acidity, a lush expansiveness, and fine purity in its lusty, heady finish." Wine Advocate, 2002
