Château Prieuré-Lichine 1988 is a mature-vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Château Prieuré-Lichine, a Fourth Growth producer located in the Margaux appellation, boasts a rich history dating back to the 12th century, originally serving as a monastery. In the 1950s, the estate underwent a transformation when renowned wine writer Alexis Lichine acquired it, significantly elevating the wine quality and reputation of the modern-day Château Prieuré-Lichine. "Deep red; reserved nose, quite oaky, almost peppery; soft, rounded, quite concentrated, as enough sweet fruit to balance the high acidity, has Margaux typicity, balanced, though fades on finish; medium length." Decanter, 1997
