Château Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée 2022 is a medium-bodied Chardonnay white wine from the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. Château Fuissé`s Tête de Cuvée uses Chardonnay fruit from more than 50 parcels (four of which are now Premiers Crus) across the appellation. The wine is two-thirds matured in oak barrels, 20% of which are new. Expect sweet, ripe orchard fruits, mellow wood spice and a creamy, mineral finish.

The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée is raised 60% in oak barrels and the rest in tank, bottled at the end of 2023. This cuvée includes some Premier Crus, including Combettes, which were not bottled separately this year. It has a winsome nose with mint-tinged citrus fruit that opens with gusto in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a fresh entry. It`s spicy with stem ginger and lemongrass towards the lively finish. Maybe it is not the most refined Pouilly-Fuissé, but there is commendable energy in the context of the growing season. - Neil Martin - The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée is raised 60% in oak barrels and the rest in tank, bottled at the end of 2023. Five Generations of Winemaking

Boasting five generations of family winemaking history, Chateau Fuissé is one of the most historic estates in the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy. Dating back to 1604, the estate was purchased by the Vincent family in the mid-19th century, with Antoine Vincent now in charge in the cellar.

With about 40ha of vineyards spread across more than 100 small plots (23ha of which are in the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé; the rest in Saint-Veran, Mâcon-Villages, Mâcon-Fuissé and Bourgogne Blanc), Chateau Fuissé has an enviable mosaic of terroirs and blending components to draw upon, resulting in nuanced, complex Chardonnay wines that can rival those produced in the more illustrious appellations further north.

Chateau Fuissé’s vineyard holdings in the celebrated climats of Les Brûlés, Les Combettes Le Clos (since 2020 designated Premier Cru) are bottled as top-end, single-site cuvées which showcase their unique terroir, but across the portfolio Chateau Fuissé offers an excellent quality-to-price ratio for those in search of fine Chardonnay that does not break the bank.
