Château Potensac 1989 is a Cru Bourgeois red wine from the Médoc region of Bordeaux. Château Potensac is the prestigious Médoc estate of the Delon family, which also operates Clos du Marquis in Saint-Julien and Château Nenin in Pomerol. The château was one of the nine producers awarded the Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel status in the 2003 reclassification, the highest possible Cru Bourgeois designation. "In time, the 1989 Potensac should rival both the 1986 and 1982 as the best wine produced at this cru bourgeois property during the decade of the eighties. It is a big, intense, alcoholic wine with exceptional ripeness, full body, and a long, chewy, fleshy finish." Wine Advocate, 1992
