Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Vincent Dancer is a relatively new producer whose first vintage was in 1996. He was the first in the village to be granted organic certification for his vineyards and also adopts a minimal intervention approach to winemaking. Although small in size and quantities, his Domaine produces some of the most sought-after wines coming out of Burgundy today. This release hails from Les Pézerolles, a Premier Cru within the Pommard appellation. 2002 was a very successful vintage in Burgundy and the wines are drinking well now.

Candied red cherries, blackberries, and cassis make up the aromatic profile of the 2002 Pommard Les Pezerolles. Crafted from vines planted in 1979 and harvested at 23 hectoliters per hectare, this concentrated beauty displays gorgeous depth and concentration. Flowers intermingled with rocks and super-ripe black cherries are found in this beauty’s core of fruit. Projected maturity: 2007-2015.
