Domaine de Courcel Pommard Les Fremiers 2006 is a mature red Burgundy from the Premier Cru climat of Les Fremiers in the Pommard appellation of the Côte de Beaune. De Courcel is one of the most prestigious domaines in the Côte de Beaune and has been owned by the de Courcel family since the 17th century. Late picking and the use of wholebunch fermentation in the cellar provides notable structure and complexity in the domaine`s wines.

Vinous
Bright, full red. Spicy redcurrant, iron and high-toned oak on the nose and palate. Tighter than the 2007 version, with a firm mineral underpinning giving the wine a youthfully sharp character. At once more classic and more severe-and in need of aging. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins. This has shut down since the August bottling.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2009
