Green-gold. Yeasty and rich, with powerful pear and white peach aromas and pungent notes of toasted bread and sweet butter. Very fresh and clean, with lively citrus-dominated flavors, a hint of candied pear and gentle, enlivening acidity. This gained richness and weight with air, finishing on a ripe note of orchard fruit.Josh Raynolds1st November 2006

Full bottle 1,624 g. 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 15–20 grands crus and premiers crus.
Very deep golden amber – deeper colour than the White Foil NV served alongside. Lighter, fresher nose than the White Foil based on 2006 or 2008 served alongside, with more obvious acidity and refreshment. The mousse is not that lively but it has real undertow and, still, a future. Lemony. Amazing! (JR)Jancis Robinson27th November 2024
