Pol Roger Réserve Spéciale 1988 marks the final release of this distinguished cuvée before being succeeded by Sir Winston Churchill. It was crafted as a top-tier blend, showcasing the house’s dedication to quality. Comprising 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, the wine reflects both richness and elegance. The 1988 vintage is renowned for its structure and longevity, offering bright acidity and a refined mousse. Layers of candied citrus, quince jelly, and apricot jam evolve alongside delicate notes of acacia honey and beeswax. A testament to Pol Roger’s craftsmanship, this vintage remains a true collector’s piece.
