Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Petrus is perhaps one of the most revered wines in the world and is often considered the pinnacle of the Pomerol appellation. Almost always made from 100% Merlot, the style of Petrus is unique and in the best vintages often achieves levels of aromatic complexity, richness and silky texture that others simply cannot. It is an exceptionally long-lived wine and can often require significant cellaring before reaching maturity and expressing its true essence. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Petrus comes galloping out of the glass with bold, expressive notions of Black Forest cake, blueberry preserves and Christmas pudding with nuances of molten chocolate, Chinese five spice, candied violets, licorice and kirsch plus wafts of roses and cinnamon stick. Full-bodied, rich, spicy and fantastically concentrated, the palate has compelling freshness and a solid base of wonderfully ripe, velvety tannins, finishing very long and opulent. The aromatics at this youthful stage are atypical for Petrus and quite stunning—this 2017 is a bombshell! Deceptively alluring a few months after bottling, the 2017 Petrus is attractive and nuanced, and yet I get the impression it is going through a rather awkward stage. Floral and blood orange overtones add freshness and inner perfume to a Petrus that will age more on finesse than power. Olivier Berrouet opted for longer skin contact than normal, about 30 days, with pumpovers of one volume of wine per day at the beginning of fermentation. Malolactic fermentation took place in steel. The 2017 spent about 14 months in oak and then four months in tank prior to being bottled in July 2019. — Antonio Galloni, 1st March 2020

Tasted blind. Deep ruby colour. Roasted red fruits on the nose. Strawberry and garrigue – quite unique in this vintage and perhaps beyond! Very succulent and round; very red fruited. Producing one of the most revered red wines in the world, Petrus was the first Pomerol estate to win a gold medal in the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1878. Indeed, Petrus' world class reputation speaks for itself and it is often considered the pinnacle of Bordeaux' s Right Bank Pomerol appellation.

Spanning 11.7ha, the Petrus vineyards are characterised by their distinctive sticky blue clay soils, producing wonderfully powerful, complex wines with glorious aromatics and texture and an extraordinary capacity for aging. Almost always made from 100% Merlot, the style of Petrus is unique and in the best vintages often achieves levels of aromatic complexity, richness and silky texture that others simply cannot. Despite wonderfully warming levels of alcohol, this is a wine that is balanced by beautiful freshness.
