Peter Michael Ma Belle-Fille Chardonnay 2015 is a single-vineyard white wine from Peter Michael Winery, located in the Knights Valley AVA of Sonoma County, California. This wine is produced from Chardonnay grapes grown at the Ma Belle-Fille vineyard, characterised by high elevation and steep slopes with volcanic soils. The winemaking process includes hand-harvesting, whole-cluster pressing and fermentation in French oak barrels, with a portion being new oak. This vintage exhibits notes of ripe stone fruit, citrus and a subtle nuttiness, accompanied by a careful balance of acidity and minerality. Peter Michael Winery was established in 1982, focusing on small production, estate-grown wines.

The 2015 Chardonnay Ma Belle-Fille is succulent, rich and expressive, with exotic white truffle, honey, herbs and tropical notes that give the wine its super distinctive personality. Clean mineral notes add breezy freshness to this high-altitude mountain Chardonnay.Antonio Galloni1st July 2018

Inspired by the Médoc and Côte d'Or

Peter Michael Winery was founded by British businessman Sir Peter Michael in the early 1980s with a singular vision - to make wine in the terroir-driven tradition of Burgundy and Bordeaux, under the California sun and in California soil. The winery currently produce around fifteen wines using four varietals - Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Consistency and quality are the watchwords here - the wines are clearly inspired by the poise and precision of their Old World counterparts but can't help expressing an edge of Californian excess - ripe fruit abounds on the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while the Cabernet Sauvignons have a density and concentration that many Bordelais would envy.
