The Peter Michael Belle Côte Chardonnay 2014 is an exquisite white wine from the Knights Valley AVA in Sonoma County. The wine showcases a rich and complex character, displaying aromas of lemon curd, brioche, and ripe pear, with hints of tropical fruits and minerality. The palate offers vibrant acidity, balancing the lush fruit and well-integrated oak, creating a creamy texture. The finish is long and elegant – a true testament to the winemaker`s skill and terroir expression.

The 2014 Chardonnay Belle-Côte emerges from the oldest vines on the property. Intensely mineral, with plenty of graphite, slate, dried flowers and herbs, the Belle-Côte is super-distinctive. Fruit is pushed to the background in a Chardonnay that is distinctly mineral and savory-driven in style. Belle-Côte is a combination of Rued, See and old Wente clone Chardonnay. Inspired by the Médoc and Côte d'Or

Peter Michael Winery was founded by British businessman Sir Peter Michael in the early 1980s with a singular vision - to make wine in the terroir-driven tradition of Burgundy and Bordeaux, under the California sun and in California soil. The winery currently produce around fifteen wines using four varietals - Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Consistency and quality are the watchwords here - the wines are clearly inspired by the poise and precision of their Old World counterparts but can't help expressing an edge of Californian excess - ripe fruit abounds on the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while the Cabernet Sauvignons have a density and concentration that many Bordelais would envy.
