Pesquera Reserva 2005 is crafted from Tempranillo grapes, showcasing the characteristic depth of the Ribera del Duero region. Aged for 24 months in American oak, this red reveals restrained tannins and a balanced acidity, offering dried fruit and subtle spice notes on the palate. Bodegas Alejandro Fernández, established in 1972, is known for pioneering the quality-focused approach in this area, elevating local winemaking to international prominence. This vintage reflects the traditional methods and commitment to craftsmanship inherent to the Pesquera estate.

Vinous
- Inky ruby. Seductively aromatic nose offers ripe red and dark berries, smoky minerals, aged beef, baking spices and flowers. Sweet black raspberry and cassis flavors are firmed by youthfully bitter tannins and complicated by floral pastille, vanilla bean and sweet chewing tobacco qualities. This is already showing some complexity, so it wouldn't be criminal to drink it now, but I'd leave mine alone for at least another six years.
