Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Château Pavie is one of the finest wine producing estates in St-Émilion and as a result of consistently producing some of the greatest wines in the region, it was elevated to the highest status of Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the 2012 reclassification. The 2005 vintage was exceptional in Bordeaux and this is one of the best releases from Pavie in the last 20 years. It is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Just 7,000 cases were produced.

The 2005 Pavie is deep garnet with a touch of brick. It skips out of the glass with bright, lively notes of Morello cherries, plum preserves, red roses, and candied violets followed by hints of menthol, dark chocolate, and underbrush. The full-bodied palate is so vibrant and energetic that it sparkles. Youthful red and black fruit notes comingle with mineral and floral sparks, framed by fine-grained tannins and wonderful tension, finishing with epic length and depth. Gérard Perse believes this is the greatest Pavie he’s made to date, although certainly I would argue that list includes the 2000, as well as the 2009 and 2010, among his superstars. This wine, which I had both in the 2005 horizontal report in the Wine Advocate, and at a mini-vertical with Perse at the restaurant Maison Boulud in Montreal, looks to be a 75- to 100-year wine. Dense, opaque purple to the rim, with a gorgeously promising nose of blackberries, cassis, graphite and cedar wood just beginning to emerge, it tastes more like a three-year-old than wine that is already a decade old. This beauty is intense and full-bodied, with magnificent concentration, a majestic mouthfeel and a total seamless integration of tannin, wood, alcohol, etc. Beautifully rich, full and multidimensional, this is a tour de force in winemaking and certainly one of the top dozen or so 2005 Bordeaux. Forget it for another 3-5 years and drink it over the following 50-100 years!Robert Parker28th August 2015

Six years have passed since I last tasted the 2005 Pavie. In that time, the wine has moved into its first plateau of maturity. Heady and explosive, the 2005 possesses tremendous richness right out of the gate. An infusion of inky dark fruit, chocolate, leather, spice, menthol and espresso greets the palate as the 2005 shows off its considerable charms. The style of the era is evident in the wine's rich, extracted feel and strong oak inflections. My preference is to drink the 2005 now, as early signs of aromatic maturity are starting to set in. Made from the estate’s younger vines (under 10-years of age), the 2005 Les Aromes de Pavie is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in primarily old oak for two years. Deep ruby/purple-hued, soft, fruity, medium to full-bodied, and spicy with hints of high class cigar tobacco mixed with cassis and sweet cherries, it possesses some of its bigger sibling’s personality, and is capable of lasting 10-12 years. - Robert M. A Decadent St-Emilion

Situated to the south-east of the town of St-Emilion, Pavis is the largest 1er Grand Cru Classé property in the commune with over 35 hectares of vines. The vineyards themselves are ideally situated on the south facing slopes of a limestone plateau for excellent exposure, ensuring optimal ripeness in the right conditions. Since the late 1990s, the Grand Vin has been a blend of 55% Merlot, 25% Cabernet France and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in wooden vats and aged in 100% new oak for 18 months. The wines are bottled unfiltered for added concentration and texture.

Pavie was purchased in 1998 by Gérard Perse who has, assisted by consultant oenologist Michel Rolland, pushed the wines towards a bolder, more concentrated style with a focus on concentrated fruit on the palate and an expressive nose.
