The Paul Lato Seabiscuit Zotovich Pinot Noir 2013 is a single-vineyard wine from the Sta Rita Hills AVA in California. The Zotovich Vineyard is distinguished by its sandy, diatomaceous earth soils combined with a cool marine climate, producing wines with distinctive fruit and mineral notes. Paul Lato, known for his artisanal approach, seeks to express the true character of each vineyard. This vintage reveals layers of dark cherry and plum, with earthiness and subtle spice, providing structure through balanced acidity and refined tannins.

The 2013 Pinot Noir Seabiscuit Zotovich Vineyard is one of the more intense, exuberant wines made from this Sta. Rita Hills site that tends to naturally produce a delicate style of Pinot. Pliant and generous on the palate, with good underlying energy, the 2013 offers lovely purity and precision throughout. Dark red plum, cherry, violet and spices open up in the glass, followed by the lifted, floral top notes that are such a signature of Zotovich.
